Creation Care invites you to join us for EARTH DAY COMES EARLY at St. James! Please set aside Saturday, March 22 from 8-1 p.m. for Eucharist in the Sanctuary Garden Chapel followed by a few hours of Parish Work Day clean up on the St. James property. Tasks include chainsawing, weeding, mulching, tree planting, picking up sticks, birdhouse building, and Community Garden needs. Our Earth Day Parish Work Day builds fellowship and re-establishes appreciation of the church property we have been endowed to steward. We welcome families of all ages to learn about our environment and recycling. Bring a chair or blanket for the outdoor Chapel Service, build a birdhouse or bat house, bring a snack, drink, hat and gloves, shovels, rakes, wheelbarrows, your tool of choice! We will find a job for you! If you have plants to share, especially shade-loving plants, we will find a place for you to plant it in the Hosta Garden.
